Getting up after midnight and praying is a great reward, which is called Tahajjud. This prayer is very popular in the eyes of Allah almighty and it gets the most reward. There are at least four rak’ahs and a maximum of twelve rak’ahs of Tahajjud. If there is no time or courage, then only two rak’ahs. If you do not have the courage last night, then recite it after Isha, but there will be no such reward. It is said in the hadith that you should make it obligatory for you to pray the night prayer, even if there is only one rak’ah (Ru’ah al-Imam al-Suyuti basand saheeh), meaning that the prayer of Tahajjud, even if it is small, must be recited because its reward is many, although it is not obligatory, and it is not necessary to recite one rak’ah, because it is not right to pray one rak’ah, at least two rak’ahs. Recite rak’ah, it is said in the hadith that make it obligatory for you to stay the night i.e. tahajjud prayer, because that habit belongs to those who were before you and is close to Allaah and is a means of preventing sin, and removes sins, removing disease from the body. At the time of Tahajjud, especially prayer is accepted, it must be recited, Hazrat Imam Hazrat Imam Abu Hanifa (RA) has prayed in the morning for 40 years with the ablution of Isha.
