Surah Al Mutaffifin is the 83rd chapter of the Holy Quran, meaning “The Defrauding.” It was revealed in Mecca and consists of 36 verses and 1 Raku.
This Surah is located in Juz 30. It begins by describing the characteristics of those who defraud others by manipulating measurements and engaging in dishonest business practices.
This Surah strongly condemns deception and emphasizes the importance of honesty and fairness in our aspects of life. It warns against the consequences of such fraudulent behavior and serves as a reminder of the Day of judgement, where true justice will prevail, and every individual will be held accountable for their actions.

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَيْلٌ لِلْمُطَفِّفِينَ * الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَوْ وَزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ وَ أَلَّا يَظُنُّ أُولَئِكَ أَنَّهُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَلَمِينَ کَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَبَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّيْنِ ، وَمَا أَدْرَكَ مَا سِجِينٌ * كِتُبُ مَرْقُومُهُ وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ * الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ وَ مَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ * إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ ايْتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ * كَلَّا بَلْ سَكنة رَانَ عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ نَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَنْ رَبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَتَحْجُوبُونَ ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا الْجَحِيمِ ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ * كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتُبَ الْأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلْنِينَ وَ مَا أَدْرَيكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ كِتَبُ تَرْقُومُ ، يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ * إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ عَلَى الْأَرَابِكِ يَنْظُرُونَ * تَعْرِفُ فِي لا وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ يُسْقَوْنَ مِنْ رَّحِيقٍ تَحْتُومٍ خِتْبُهُ مِسْك وَ فِي ذَلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ * وَمِزَاجُهُ مِنْ لا تَسْنِيمٍ عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ * إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا صلے كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ وَ إِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَافِرُونَ° وَ إِذَا انْقَلَبُوا إِلَى أَهْلِهِمُ انْقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ وَ إِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَؤُلَاءِ لَضَالُّونَ * وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِظِينَ * فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ * عَلَى الْأَرَابِكِ يَنْظُرُونَ *هَلْ ثُوبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ *

ترجمہ
خرابی ہے (ناپ اور تول میں )کمی کرنے والوں کے لیے۔
وہ لوگ جو جب ناپ کر لیں لوگوں سے تو پورا کر لیں
اور جب ان کو ناپ کر دیں ان کو یا تول کر دیں انہیں تو کم کر کے دیں۔
کیا نہیں خیال کرتے یہ لوگ کہ بے شک وہ اٹھائے جانے والے ہیں۔
ایک ایسے دن میں جو بڑا سخت ہے
جس دن کھڑے ہوں گے تمام لوگ رب العالمین کے سامنے۔
ہرگز نہیں بے شک اعمال نامے بدکاروں کے سجین میں ہوں گے
اور کیا تم جانتے ہو کہ کیا ہے سجین۔
ایک دفتر ہے لکھا ہوا۔
خرابی ہے اس دن جھٹلانے والوں کے لیے۔
وہ لوگ جو جھٹلاتے ہیں انصاف کے دن کو۔
اور نہیں جھٹلاتا اس کو مگر وہی ہے جو حد سے نکل جانے والے گنہگار ہے
جب سنائی جاتی ہیں اس کو ہماری آیتیں تو کہتا ہے یہ تو افسانے میں پہلے لوگوں کے۔
ہرگز نہیں بات یہ ہے کہ زنگ ہے ان کے دلوں پر اس کا جو (اعمال بد)کماتے رہے ہیں۔
ہرگز نہیں بے شک یہ اپنے رب ( کے دیدار )سے اس روز اوٹ میں ہوں گے۔
پھر بے شک وہ داخل ہوں گے دوزخ میں۔
پھر (ان سے) کہا جائے گا کہ یہ وہی چیز ہے تم جس کو جھٹلاتے تھے۔
ہرگز نہیں بے شک اعمال نامے نیکو کاروں کے علیین ہوں گے۔
اور کیا تم کو معلوم کہ کیا چیز ہے علی۔
ایک دفتر ہے لکھا ہوا۔
جس کے پاس حاضر ہوتے ہیں مقرب فرشتے۔
پیش کرنے کو لوگ نعمتوں میں ہوں گے۔
تختوں پر ( بیٹھے ہوئے )نظارے کریں گے۔
تم معلوم کر لو گے ان کے چہروں ہی سے تازگی نعمت کی۔
ان کو پلائی جائے گی شراب خالص سر بمہر۔
جس کی مہر مشک کی ہوگی اور (چاہیے کہ) اس کی رغبت کریں رغبت کرنے والے۔
اور اس میں آمیزش ہوگی تسنیم کی۔
وہ ایک چشمہ ہے پییں گے جس میں سے اللّٰہ کے مقرب بندے۔
بے شک وہ لوگ جنہوں نے جرم کۓ کیا کرتے تھے وہ ان لوگوں سے جو ایمان لائے ہنسی۔
اور جب گزرتے ان کے پاس سے تو حقارت سے اشارے کرتے تھے۔
اور جب لوٹتے تھے اپنے گھر والوں کی طرف تو لوٹتے تھے اتراتے ہوئے
اور جب ان کو ( یعنی مومنوں )کو دیکھتے تھے تو کہتے تھے بے شک یہ لوگ گمراہ ہیں۔
حالانکہ نہیں وہ بھیجے گئے تھے (یعنی کافر) ان ( مومنوں پر )نگراں بنا کر۔
تو آج وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے تھے کافروں پر ہنسیں گے ۔
بلند مسندوں پر بیٹھے ہوئے ( ان کا حال) دیکھ رہے ہوں گے۔
کیا پورا بدلہ مل گیا کافروں کو اس کا جو یہ کرتے تھے۔
translation
There is a problem (in measure and weight) for the reducers.
Those who, when they measure, meet the people.
And when you measure them, weigh them or weigh them, reduce them.
Do they not think that they are indeed to be raised?
On a day that is very hard
The Day when all the people will stand before the Lord of the Worlds.
Surely not; verily the deeds shall be in the company of the evildoers.
And do you know what it is?
There is an office written.
It’s bad for those who deny that day.
Those who deny the Day of Justice.
And he does not deny it, except he who transgresses is the sinner.
When it is recited, you call it our verses, these are those of the first people in fiction.
It is not at all that there is rust in the hearts of those who have been earning evil deeds.
Not at all; verily they will be in the camel on that day from their Lord.
Then indeed they will enter Hell.
Then it will be said: “This is what you used to deny.”
Of course not; indeed the deeds will be for those who do good.
And do you know what ali is?
There is an office written.
To whom the angels are near.
People will be blessed to offer.
You will see (sitting) on the boards.
You will know the freshness of their faces.
They will be given pure wine.
Whose seal will be that of mushk, and it should be desired by those who are interested.
And it will be mixed with tasnim.
He is a fountain from which he will drink, from which the servants of Allah are close.
Verily those who used to commit sins laughed at those who believed.
And when they passed by, they pointed contemptuously.
And when they returned to their families, they returned.
And when they saw them, they said, “Verily, they are astray.”
However, they were not sent (i.e., disbelievers) as overseers over them( believers).
So today those who believed will laugh at the disbelievers .
They will be sitting on high positions watching (their condition).
Have the disbelievers been recompensed for what they used to do?

Hay un problema (en medida y peso) para los reductores.
Aquellos que, cuando miden, se encuentran con la gente.
Y cuando los midas, los peses o los peses, redúcelos.

No es en absoluto que haya óxido en los corazones de aquellos que han estado ganando malas obras.
De ninguna manera, sino que aquel día estarán en el camello de parte de su Señor.
Entonces, en verdad, entrarán en el infierno.
Entonces se dirá: “Esto es lo que solías negar”.
Por supuesto que no, sino que las obras serán para los que hacen el bien.
¿Y sabes lo que es ali?
Hay una oficina escrita.
A quien están cerca los ángeles.
La gente será bendecida para ofrecer.
sentado Conocerás la frescura de sus rostros.
Se les dará vino puro.
Cuyo sello será el de hongo, y debe ser deseado por aquellos que estén interesados.
Y se mezclará con tasnim.
Es una fuente de la que beberá, de la que están cerca los siervos de Alá.
En verdad, los que cometían pecados se reían de los que creían.
Y cuando pasaron, señalaron con desdén.
Y cuando regresaron con sus familias, regresaron.
Y cuando los vieron, dijeron: “En verdad están descarriados”.
Sin embargo, no fueron enviados (es decir, incrédulos) como supervisores sobre ellos (creyentes).
Así que hoy los que creyeron se reirán de los incrédulos.
Estarán sentados en posiciones altas observando (su condición).
¿Han sido recompensados los incrédulos por lo que solían hacer?
