Surah Al Mudassir is the 74th chapter of the Holy Quran, meaning ” The Cloaked One.” It was revealed in Mecca and consists of 56 verses and 2 Rukus, located in Juz 29.
This Surah emphasizes the consequences of one’s actions, both good and bad. It conveys Allah’s mercy, promising forgiveness to those who sincerely repent and correct their mistakes while also warning disbelievers of the repercussions of their denial.

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
يَأَيُّهَا الْمُدَّثِّرُ° قُمْ فَانْذِرْهُ وَ رَبَّكَ فَكَيْرُهُ وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرُهُ وَالرُّجْزَ فَاهْجُرُهُ وَلَا تَمْنُنْ تَسْتَكْثِرُهُ وَ لِرَبِّكَ فَاصْبِرُهُ فَإِذَا نُقِرَ فِي النَّاقُورِه فَذَلِكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَوْمٌ عَسِيرُهُ عَلَى الْكَفِرِينَ غَيْرُ يَسِيرِ ذَرْنِي وَ مَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيْدًا وَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ مَالًا مَّعْدُودًا وَ بَنِينَ شُهُودًا وَ مَهَدْتُ لَهُ تَنْهِيدًا° ثُمَّ يَطْمَعُ أَنْ أَزِيدَ كَلَّا إِنَّهُ كَانَ لايَتِنَا عَنِيدَاهُ سَأُرْهِقُهُ
صَعُودًا إِنَّهُ فَكَرَ وَ قَدَّرَهُ فَقُتِلَ كَيْفَ قَدَّرَهُ ثُمَّ قُتِلَ
كَيْفَ قَدَّرَهُ ثُمَّ نَظَرَهُ ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَ بَسَرَهُ ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ
فَقَالَ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرُ يُؤْثَرُهُ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِيُّ سَأَصْلِيهِ
سَقَرَ وَمَا أَدْرَيكَ مَا سَقَرُهُ لَا تُبْقِي وَلَا تَذَرُهُ لَوَاحَةٌ لِلْبَشَرِة
عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَهُ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا أَصْحُبَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَكَة .
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا فِتْنَةٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِينَ
أُوتُوا الْكِتَبَ وَ يَزْدَادَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِيْمَانًا وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِينَ
أُوتُوا الْكِتَبَ وَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَ لِيَقُوْلَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ فَرَضٌ
وَ الْكَفِرُونَ مَا ذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ بِهَذَا مَثَلًا كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ
مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَ مَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ
وَ مَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَى لِلْبَشَرِ كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِ وَالَّيْلِ إِذْ أَدْبَرَهُ
وَ الصُّبْحِ إِذَا أَسْفَرَهُ إِنَّهَا لِإِحْدَى الْكُبَرِ نَذِيرًا لِلْبَشَرِ لِمَنْ
شَاءَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَتَقَدَّمَ أَوْ يَتَأَخَرَهُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ رَهِينَةٌ
إِلَّا أَصْحَبَ الْيَمِينِ فِي جَنَّتِ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ * عَنِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ * مع
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِي سَقَرَ قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ وَ لَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِينَ وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَابِضِينَ * وَكُنَّا تُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ حَتَّى أَتْنَا الْيَقِينُ ، فَمَا تَنْفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشَّفِعِينَ * فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِينَ * كَأَنَّهُمُ حُمُرٌ مُسْتَنْفِرَةٌ ، فَزَتْ مِنْ قَسْوَرَةٍ ، بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ امْرِى مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُؤْتَى صُحُفًا مُنَشَرَةٌ كَلَّا بَلْ لَا يَخَافُونَ الْآخِرَةَ * كَلَّا إِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌ ، فَمَنْ شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ ، وَ مَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ ع يَشَاءَ اللهُ هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ .
Translation to Surah Al Mudassir
1. اے کپڑے میں ڈھکنے والے!
2. اٹھو اور لوگوں کو خبردار کرو۔
3. اپنے رب کی عظمت کا ذکر کرو۔
4. اور اپنے کپڑے کو پاک رکھو۔
5. اور جھوٹی چیزوں سے دور رہو۔
6. اور اللہ کے لیے زیادہ نہ ہو۔
7. اور اپنے رب کی راہ میں صبر کرو۔
8. پھر جب trumpets پھونکی جائے گی۔
9. یہ دن ہوگا، کہ لوگوں کو ان کی یاد دہانی ہوجائے گی۔
10. اور اس دن ان لوگوں کے عذاب کو یاد کرو جو جھٹلانے والے ہیں۔
11. وہ لوگ جو عذاب کے قائل نہیں ہوئے، ان کے لیے کیا بنا؟
12. اور کیا یہ لوگ جاگ اُٹھیں گے؟
13. بے شک اس دن مقدر کے مطابق حساب لیا جائے گا۔
14. کیا ان کی پیروی کی جائے گی یا انہیں چھوڑ دیا جائے گا؟
15. بے شک ان کا عذاب ایک عذاب ہے۔
16. اور یہ ہر ایک کے لیے آئے گا۔
17. اور بے شک اس کا ذکر کیا جائے گا۔
18. اور ان کے اعمال کی کیفیت بیان کی جائے گی۔
19. اور ان کے اجر کا اکٹھا کیا جائے گا۔
20. اور بے شک انہیں عذاب دیا جائے گا، جو چھپے ہوئے ہیں۔
21. کیا انہوں نے اس کے بارے میں غور و فکر نہیں کیا؟
22. اللہ کا وعدہ کبھی بھی نہیں ٹوٹتا۔
23. اور بے شک یہ ایک یاد دہانی ہے۔
24. اور میں انہیں عذاب دوں گا۔
25. اور انہیں بے شک جاگنا ہوگا۔
26. کیا قیامت کے دن کا سامنا ہوگا؟
27. بے شک، یہ دن سخت ہوگا۔
28. اور ہر شخص کو اپنے اعمال کا حساب دینا ہوگا۔
29. اور یہ ایک عظیم دن ہوگا۔
30. اور وہاں جنت کی نعمتیں ہوں گی۔
31. اور بے شک جزا اور سزا کا وقت آنے والا ہے۔
32. تو اس کی بندگی میں صبر کریں۔
33. اور اپنا عزم مضبوط رکھیں۔
34. بے شک لوگ وہاں جنت میں داخل ہوں گے۔
35. اور ان کے لیے بیع و خرید کا وقت ہوگا۔
36. اور عذاب کے دن کے بارے میں جھگڑا ہوگا۔
37. اور وہ لوگ جو گمراہ تھے، انہیں حکم دیا جائے گا۔
38. بے شک الله نے ان کے لیے وعدہ کیا ہے۔
39. اور ان کے لیے اللہ کی رضا پر چلنا ہوگا۔
40. کیا ان کے اعمال کی نوعیت چیک کی جائے گی؟
41. اور لوگ ایک دوسرے سے سوال کریں گے۔
42. اس دن ان کی مثال پیش کی جائے گی۔
43. اور یہ عذاب قیامت کا ہوگا۔
44. اور یہ ان کی سزا کا دن ہوگا۔
45. اور کیا ان کے لئے ان کی پچھلی زندگی کا گزرنا ہوگیا؟
46. کیا انہوں نے اللہ کی طرف رجوع نہیں کیا؟
47. بے شک یہ ایک دائمی حقیقت ہے۔
48. اور ان کے اعمال کا حساب لیا جائے گا۔
49. اور ان کے اجر کا معائنہ ہوگا۔
50. کیا یہ لوگ اللہ کے عذاب سے نجات پا جائیں گے؟
51. بے شک، یہ لوگ ناکام ہوں گے۔
52. اور یہ عذاب اُن کیلئے جنس ہی ہوگا۔
53. اور کیا یہ لوگ توبہ کریں گے؟
54. اللہ کی رحمت کے بغیر ان کی ناکامی ہوگی۔
55. تو یہ ان کا مقدر ہوگا۔
56. اور یہ ان کی حقیقت ہوگی۔
1. O you who covers himself (with a garment)!
2. Arise and warn!
3. And your Lord glorify!
4. And your garments purify!
5. And uncleanliness avoid!
6. And do not confer favor to acquire more!
7. And for the sake of your Lord, be patient!
8. And when the horn is blown,
9. That Day will be a Day of difficulty,
10. For disbelievers, it will not be easy.
11. Leave Me with the one I created alone.
12. And to whom I granted extensive wealth
13. And children as witnesses.
14. And I made [life] smooth for him.
15. Yet he desires that I should add more.
16. No! Indeed, he has been toward Our verses defiantly obstinate.
17. I will cover him with a material of (Hellfire)
18. Indeed, he thought and deliberated.
19. So may he be destroyed for how he deliberated.
20. Then may he be destroyed for how he deliberated.
21. Then he looked.
22. Then he frowned and scowled.
23. Then he turned back and was arrogant.
24. And said, “This is not except magic from others.
25. This is not the word of a human being.”
26. I will drive him into Saqar.
27. And what can make you know what is Saqar?
28. It lets nothing remain and spares nothing.
29. It shrivels the skins.
30. Over it are nineteen [angels as guardians].
31. And verily the time of recompense and punishment is coming.
32. No! By the moon,
33. And by the night when it departs
34. And by the morning when it brightens,
35. Indeed, it is one of the greatest (signs)
36. As a warning to mankind,
37. For whoever wills among you to take a straight course.
38. And you do not will except that Allah wills – Lord of the worlds.
39. The Day the criminals will be dragged on their faces to Hellfire.
40. And it will be said, “Indeed, you received your good things in the worldly life and enjoyed them. So today you will be recompensed with a humiliating punishment because you were arrogant upon the earth without right and because you were defiantly disobedient.”
41. And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with [complete] devotion.
42. He is the Lord of the East and the West; there is no deity except Him. So take Him as disposer of affairs.
43. And be patient over what they say and avoid them with gracious avoidance.
44. And leave Me with the deniers, the possessors of ease and comfort, and give them respite for a little.
45. Indeed, with Us for them are shackles and Hellfire.
46. And food that chokes and a painful punishment.
47. On the Day the earth and the mountains will quake, and the mountains will become a heap of sand pouring down.
48. Indeed, We have sent to you a messenger as a witness upon you just as We sent to Pharaoh a messenger.
49. But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We seized him with a grip of adversity.
50. And how will you protect yourselves if you disbelieve on a Day that will make the children turn gray?
51. The Day the Shofar will be blown, and you will come forth in droves.
52. And the heaven will be opened and will become gateways.
53. And the mountains will be moved, and they will be a mirage.
54. Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait.
55. For the transgressors, a place of return.
56. In which they will remain for ages unending.

سورۃ المدثر گند روحانی بصیرت عطا کرتی ہے اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم کی دانت کے گہری سمجھ بوجھ فراہم کرتی ہے۔ یہ مومنوں کو پیغام کی اہمیت یاد دلاتی ہے اور اللہ کی ہدایت پر یقین کو مضبوط کرتی ہے۔
