Surah Al Ghashiyan the 88th chapter of the Holy Quran, translates to ” The Overwhelming.” Revealed in Meeca, it consists of 26 verses and one ruko and is found in juz 30.

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
هَلْ أَتٰكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ عَامِلَةٌ نَاصِبَةٌ : تَصْلَى نَارًا حَامِيَةً وَ تُسْقَى مِنْ عَيْنِ انِيَةٍ ، لَيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامُ إِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيحٍ ، لَا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنْ جُوعِ لا وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِبَةٌ لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ * فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ * لَا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَاغِيَةٌ * فِيْهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ * فِيهَا سُرُرٍفَرْفُوعَةٌ ، وَ الْوَابٌ فَوْضُوعَةٌ وَ نَبَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ وَزَرَانِي مَبْثُوثَةٌ أَفَلَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ وَ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ وَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ فَذَكِّرُهُ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرُهُ لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُضَيْطِرٍ إِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلَّى وَكَفَرَهُ فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللهُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَكْبَرَ إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ

کیا پہنچی ہے تم کو ڈھانپ لینے والی (قیامت کی)
بہت سے چہرے اس روز ہوں گے خوفزدہ
سخت محنت کرنے والے تھکے ماندے
داخل ہوں گے آگ میں دہکتی ہوئی
پلایا جائے گا ان کو ایک کھول دے ہوئے چشمے سے
نہیں ہوگا ان کے لیے کوئی کھانا سوائے ایک سخت خاردار جھاڑی کے
نہ جو مفید غذا بنے اور نہ کام آئے بھوک میں
بہت سے چہرے اس روز ہوں گے شادمان
اپنی محنت کے بدلے راضی
بہشت بریں میں
نہیں سنیں گے وہاں کسی طرح کے لغو بات
اس میں چشمے بہ رہے ہوں گے
وہاں تخت ہوں گے اونچے اونچے
اور کٹورے قرینے سے رکھے ہوئے
اور گاؤ تکیے قطار در قطار لگے ہوئے
اور نفیس مسندیں جگہ جگہ بچھی ہوئی
تو کیا نہیں یہ دیکھتے اونٹوں کی طرف کہ کیسے
(عجیب) پیدا کیے گئے ہیں
اور آسمان کی طرف کہ کیسا بلند کیا گیا ہے
اور پہاڑوں کی طرف کہ کیسے جمائے گئے ہیں
اور زمین کی طرف کہ کیسے بچھائی گئی ہے
پس (اے نبی ﷺ) تم تو نصیحت کرتے رہو بس تم نصیحت کرنے والے ہی ہو۔
تم نہیں ہو ان پر داروغہ
مگر جس نے منہ پھیرا اور انکار کیا ہے
تو عذاب دے گا اس کو اللّٰہ عذاب بہت بڑا
بے شک ہمارے ہی پاس ان کو لوٹ کر آنا ہے
پھر بے شک ہمارے ہی ذمے ان سے حساب لینا ہے
What has come to cover you?
Many faces will be afraid that day.
Those who work hard are tired
They will enter into the fire.
They will be fed with an open spring.
There will be no food for them except a hard thorny bush.
Which is not a useful food, nor is it useful in hunger.
There will be many faces on that day.
Willing in return for your hard work
in paradise
You won’t hear any nonsense there.
There will be springs flowing in it.
There will be thrones high.
And the bowls were kept in the basket.
And cow pillows lined up
And the fine mustards are left in place.
So don’t you look at the camels?
(strange) have been created
And to heaven how it has been exalted.
And to the mountains, how they are set up.
And to the earth, how it has been laid.
So keep advising you, only you are the admonishers.
You are not a guardian over them.
But he who turns away and denies.
So Allah will punish him with a great punishment.
Verily unto Us they shall return.
Then verily it is our responsibility to reckon with them.

Muchos rostros tendrán miedo ese día.
Los que trabajan duro están cansados
Entrarán en el fuego.
Serán alimentados con un manantial abierto.
No habrá alimento para ellos, excepto un arbusto duro y espinoso.
Que no es un alimento útil, ni es útil en el hambre.
Habrá muchos rostros ese día.
Dispuestos a cambio de su arduo trabajo
en el paraíso
Allí no oirás ninguna tontería.
Habrá manantiales que fluirán en él.
Habrá tronos en lo alto.
Y los tazones se guardaban en la cesta.
Y almohadas de vaca alineadas
Y los musnads finos se dejan en su lugar.
¿Entonces no miras a los camellos?
(extraños) han sido creados
Y al cielo cómo ha sido exaltado.
Y a las montañas, cómo están configuradas.
Y a la tierra, cómo ha sido puesta.
Así que sigue aconsejándote, solo que tú eres el amonestador.
Tú no eres un guardián sobre ellos.
Pero el que se aparta y niega.
Alá le castigará con un gran castigo.
Verdaderamente a Nosotros volverán.
